Effect of symbiotic phages in the typing of Salmonella paratyphi B.

چکیده

possibly the formation of methemoglobin, had taken place in the blood cells. This raises the question whether the effect observed is due to hemolysin production by S. bovis or whether the blood cells are perhaps altered by CO2 in such a way as to render them susceptible to some other chemical reaction of the bacteria. For this reason the authors have refrained from ascribing this effect to a hemolysin, although this would seem to be a distinct possibility.
